Published ten times a year, (Dec/Jan and July/Aug issues are combined), The Publisher is the trade journal of the Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA). The Publisher is the primary medium for communicating with the decision-makers in the community newspaper publishing industry.

CCNA distributes more than 700 copies of every issue to community newspaper publishers within CCNA's membership. The Publisher is distributed via Canada Post the first week of each issue date month.

The editorial focus of The Publisher deals with every aspect of community newspaper publishing in Canada, including business and regulatory issues, editorial, sales, new media & technology, production, circulation and distribution. The Publisher also reports regularly on news and activities of the CCNA, its board of directors and association membership.

Display advertising is available in The Publisher for businesses or organizations who wish to get their message to the decision-makers at Canada's community newspapers.
