The Canadian Community Newspapers
Association is a proud partner in promoting
literacy. In addition to helping to promote the

ABC CANADA's annual Family Literacy Day to its

Family
Literacy Day, January 27
ABC CANADA Literacy
Foundation is the national coordinator of Family
Literacy Day, held annually on January
27.
This special day promotes the importance of reading
and learning as a family with the goal of developing
lifelong readers.
Magazines and newspapers across
Canada have agreed to champion this project
by publishing Family Literacy Day advertisements
in their publications.
ABC CANADA is asking every newspaper in Canada
to run a Family Literacy Day advertisement. The
Canadian Community Newspapers Association is proud
to offer a variety of sizes for you to choose from.
ABC CANADA has also provided two ready-to-use
articles on Family Literacy Day as well as an
article on leading children’s author, Bob
Munsch, the honorary celebrity chair for Family
Literacy Day. Please advise your editorial team
that these are available for inclusion in your
newspaper.
